Peterborough Litter Wombles

Back to Activities
Peterborough Litter Wombles is a friendly group for everyone who wants to clean up Peterborough. They aim to help groups across the city to make a real difference to their local areas through picking up litter.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

Picking litter either solo or in a group is beneficial to both physical and mental health.

  • it involves undemanding social contact – you are in a group but can interact with others as much or as little as you want
  • it makes a tangible difference to the community
  • gets you physically active out in the fresh air and into nature.

‘It was wonderful making it a safe environment for wildlife again!! Rewarding work!!’
