Peterborough United Foundation is the charity arm of the Peterborough United Football Club. Since its formation in 2009, they have delivered a variety of projects across 4 key themes: Sports Participation, Social Inclusion/Community Cohesion, Health and Education.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It gives people of all ages and abilities the chance to engage with fun activities
  • It gives opportunity to create lifelong friends
  • It is a chance to focus and engage with positive and supportive staff who are there to help and listen.

Free activities include:

  • Premier League Kicks – Evening football sessions for hard to reach youngsters.
  • PAN Disability – Weekly football sessions for 6-16 year olds and separate sessions for adults who have learning difficulties, sight and/or hearing loss or physical difficulties.
  • Sports Scholarship Programme – For boys and girls, this combines Football with a BTEC Level 3 in Sport / A-Levels. Unique to this course, the fixtures will be played against both Premier League and Football League clubs with similar programmes.
  • Premier League Primary Stars – This free to schools programme develops primary school teachers knowledge and confidence in delivering physical education lessons, and how to use sport as a tool to engage and assist students’ understanding of English, Maths and PSHE.
  • Virtual Fitness & Healthy Eating Tips – Aimed at people aged 18+ and designed for beginners or people wanting to lose weight.
  • Coffee morning – aimed at older or isolated people who would like to meet up for a hot drink and biscuit, a chat, play board games, etc.
  • Football4wellbeing – adult social football sessions for those affected by job losses, financial issues, weight gain, or pandemic challenges.
  • Walking football – for the over-45s, separate sessions for men and women.

Activities subject to a fee include:

  • Early Years Football Session – For 3-6 year olds who are just embarking on their footballing journey.
  • School Holiday Courses – Fun football activities during school holidays for children aged 4-12.
  • PPA Sessions and After-School Clubs – Experienced coaches can come into your primary school and deliver a range of sports during staff’s PPA time or After-School Clubs.
