This activity is good for wellbeing because

Volunteering can help you feel a sense of purpose and accomplishment

Emily introduces us to the Headway Hub in Peterborough:

Volunteering
Volunteering can provide many benefits including engaging with people from the community you might not ordinarily meet, making a difference, feeling valued, and improving your own mental health.

Volunteering for Headway is especially beneficial for psychology students.

Opportunities with Headway include:

  • Helping facilitate groups
  • Taking an active part in games such as bingo, indoor boccia, and seated exercises
  • Making and serving the all-important tea, coffee and biscuits!

Contact them to find out how you can help.
