Food banks, parcels, community fridges and more, where people can access urgently needed food and necessities. Many of these organisations can also help with other types of support, such as help with benefits, debt, and more. They also welcome donations and volunteer enquiries.

Peterborough Foodbank offer food parcels to those who are unable to afford food. If you need support from Peterborough Foodbank, please call the FREE National Citizens Advice Line 0808 2082138 (open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm). In addition to be being able to issue foodbank vouchers, they can provide information and advice on welfare benefits and debt issues.

Anyone can access Millfield Community Fridge. They offer free fruit, veg, bread and other basic supplies. They rely on donations of  surplus food from supermarkets, food businesses and individuals. Paston Farm Centre community fridge is available to everyone. Anyone can come and take some food, choosing what they want. Gloves and masks are to be worn (excluding sensory or illness issues) and you need to bring carrier bags as they are unable to supply. Paston Farm Centre, Freston, Paston, Peterborough PE4 7XP. Food Cycle’s mission is to nourish communities using surplus food. They are currently running a Cook-and-Collect programme. Please see their website or email them at peterborough@foodcycle.org.uk

Peterborough Soup Kitchen is a local charity for homeless and disadvantaged people from in and around the city. Due to the current COVID-19 situation they are not able to serve food from their mobile van, however they are providing food to the homeless housed in local hotels. If you live or work within a 15 minutes radius of the Woodfield Park Community Centre you can join Family Action’s Food On Our Doorstep (FOOD) club for £1 a year and purchase a preordered bag of food every week worth approximately £15 for just £3.50. Westraven Community Fridge

Peterborough Homeless Helpers

Provision of food, clothing, toiletries and other essentials to rough sleepers, the homeless and those transitioning into accommodation. Contact them on Facebook page or email tbhphh@gmail.com

St Peter’s Food Bank

St. Peter’s work in partnership with Yaxley Parish Council, local schools and other voluntary and statutory organisations in the wider Peterborough area to help meet the local need. Diamond Hampers

Diamond Hampers provide emergency food while reducing food waste and working with people to develop the skills and tools required to support them into the future. They partner with other community groups, charities, Community Interest Companies, Councils & Government Agencies to help support people.
